Skinny Tumblers
What's the difference between the different styles of skinny tumblers?
All of MakerFlo's skinny tumblers are seamlessly constructed with stainless steel, providing crafters with maximum smooth surface area for customization.
We offer stainless steel, sublimation and powder coated styles. The style describes the tumbler's craftable exterior surface of and dictates how the tumbler can be crafted.
How can skinny tumblers be customized?
Skinny tumblers can be crafted with epoxy, sublimation or laser engraving. If you're planning to customize your tumbler, you should ensure that you're selecting a skinny tumbler that is suitable for your customization method.
Generally, stainless steel is the go-to for epoxy crafting. Sublimation tumblers are specially coated for sublimation, which is a heat activated ink transfer process, so if you're planning to sublimate, make sure you get a sublimation tumbler. Powder coated tumblers are ideal for laser engraving but they can also be crafted with epoxy or UV DTF.
Which type of skinny tumbler should I use to make a glitter tumbler?
Stainless steel or pre-sanded stainless steel tumblers are the best option for making epoxy glitter tumblers. Once sanded, epoxy binds really well to the stainless steel, and because stainless steel is not treated, they are usually a little less expensive than sublimation or powder coated tumblers.
Are skinny tumblers easy to craft?
According to our crafting community, the answer is yes, but they also say it takes practice! MakerFlo skinny tumblers are perfect for a first time crafter because our skinny cups are perfectly straight (no taper), and they also don't have handles. This makes skinny tumblers great if it's your first time customizing a tumbler.

Which tumblers are best for laser engraving?
Powder coated skinny tumblers are made for laser engraving. Working with a laser and rotary attachment, when engraved, the laser precisely cuts your design into the powder coating, to reveal the stainless steel below.
Powder coated tumblers can also be crafted with epoxy and UV DTF. MakerFlo powder coated 20oz Skinny Tumblers come in a polished, glossy, powder coated finish in a variety of colors.
