What is Truflat Paint?
Truflat Paint is a version of Truflat laser plywood that comes pre-primed and ready for a coat of paint.
Truflat is a brand of ultra-flat laser plywood, with the guaranteed flattest surface in the industry.
Original Truflat plywood is made of a medium-density fiberboard (MDF) core covered with custom-painted designer faces. Truflat Paint is finished with a layer of primer, which makes it ready to paint.

Why Choose Truflat Paint Laser Plywood?
No more sanding, polishing, and painting layers of primer and multiple coats of paint.
You only need to paint ONE single coat for a beautiful finish on your laser-cut items.
Not only that, but Truflat Paint is finished and primed on both sides so you can paint on BOTH sides easily.
Here are the benefits:
⏰ Save Time - No more wasted hours sanding, priming, and applying multiple layers of paint to your laser-cut items and waiting for them to dry.
✅ Easy to Cut - Unlike regular wood, this prefinished MDF sheet is easy to cut with even lower-power diode laser engravers.
💰 Make More Profit - Your items take less time to make, which increases your profit per item!
🎨 Make Colorful Products - Easily make beautiful, custom laser-cut items in any color you like. The only limit is your imagination! 🌈

What's the Difference Between Regular Truflat Plywood & Truflat Paint?
If you're familiar with Truflat plywood, you might be wondering how Truflat Paint and Truflat laser plywood differ.
Both are made of the same ultra-flat laser plywood with an MDF core.
But the difference lies in the coating.

Truflat Plywood is Coated for Sublimation
Regular Truflat plywood has an acrylic coating that gives the wood a glossy finish and works for sublimation printing. (Yes, you can sublimate on these!)
Truflat plywood comes in 6 designer finishes, including 3 wood grain designs plus white, linen, and black. The new white Truflat plywood, Truflat 2.0, also doubles as a dry-erase board. Learn more in our guide to Truflat 2.0.
Paint won't stick to the acrylic coating on regular Truflat. It's easy to create paint fills by painting over engraved areas and wiping the excess away.

Truflat Paint is Coated for Painting
On the other hand, Truflat Paint is primed on both sides so you can paint it right away.
You can't sublimate on this product, but you can paint it quickly and easily to achieve vibrant colors.
Truflat Paint comes in a white finish only.
What's the Difference Between Truflat 2.0 and Truflat Paint?
If you haven't heard of Truflat 2.0, here's what you need to know.
The original Truflat plywood comes in 6 colors, and one of those is white.
Truflat recently upgraded its white plywood to have an extra dry-erase finish. That means you can use it to make custom dry-erase boards.
This upgraded white Truflat sheet is called Truflat 2.0 or Truflat White 2.0.
Learn more in our guide to Truflat 2.0.
You might confuse Truflat 2.0 with Truflat Paint because both are white!
But here's the main difference: Truflat 2.0 is coated for sublimation printing and dry-erase markers, while Truflat Paint is coated for painting only.
