Give us your big picture intro, a bit about you that helps us get to know you!

Hi, I'm Jenn, founder of Vigo & Co.

I’m a full-time work from home mom & wife. I love all things DIY crafting and have a passion for creative hobbies. I’m a mom of 3, I have over 30 house plants- I want my home to feel like a cozy jungle 😂. We have 8 pets ! My life is filled with love, life and chaos !

As a mom and wife I’m always doing things for my family, crafting helps me calm my brain, distress and be creative with no limits hence why I make so many things !

I also love to read, it helps calm my mind before bed. I’ve read 18 books so far out of my 25 book goal for 2024

What’s shaking in your crafterverse? What are you crafting the most this year?

I've been learning how to use my laser that I got for Mother’s Day from my husband. It’s probably the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to learn, but it’s so rewarding at the end when projects are successful and I cannot wait to one day own a large scale, laser, and be able to create a ton of different things.

A huge goal of mine is to upgrade my laser so I can work with more materials and not be limited to such a small space.

What got you to where you are now in your crafting journey?

I started crafting because I felt like I didn’t have anything in my life that was just for me, I was feeling lost-and I was really anxious and stressed out at the time and I needed something to distract me. I started to make T-shirts for friends and family for birthday parties and it just evolved every time a new Technique came out or a new part of crafting was brought to my attention I decided to teach myself how to do it whether it was on YouTube or asking other crafters and it just evolved into me learning how to do multiple different things. I was able to learn how to create things for my kids projects and for their classroom teacher gifts and finally bringing in additional income for my family.

Where do you draw your inspiration from and how engaged are you with other crafters in your community or online?

My 2 besties are Deanna from Vibrant DS and Co & Jess from Jess Designing for you, we talk daily motivate each other & encourage each other. Being a crafter mom & wife has bonded us because we know the struggles of having something that’s just for you that you love doing.

Who doesn’t love a good story? What’s the funniest or most memorable experience you’ve ever had crafting?

The most memorable experience I had crafting was when I first started making resin tumblers and I did not secure my Tumbler on the foam insert properly and when I woke up the next day to check my tumblers, it had cured on my floor and I could not get the tumbler off!

What have you learned through your crafting journey that you think would be valuable for aspiring or new crafters?

Progress is a slow process. Just because you failed at something a few times doesn’t mean you should give up. Don’t compare your crafting journey to anyone else, you will get it ! You will figure it out !

If the MakerFlo Crafts Fairy could grant you one wish to improve your crafting experience (or that of others) what would it be?

I would love to meet the team in person one day !
