Give us your big picture intro, a bit about you that helps us get to know you!
I think that if your work is doing something you love, your life will have meaning because all the passion will be there, to wake up every morning and be there. My life is filled with family and fun. I have 3 boys and a stepdaughter who made me a father. I like to take them to have fun because I do it too. :) and I love basketball.
How and when did you get into crafting? What was the first thing you crafted?
I had a t-shirt customization store in 2015, then I went to Europe and gave up the store. I got into sublimation about 7 months ago when I bought the sublimation printer combo from MakerFlo. When it arrived and we put our creativity to flight. Today we have our registered store, J'Custom 4 Reasons, our business name was inspired by 4 beautiful kids.
I love to create photo keepsakes with sublimation like tumblers and wind spinners.
Where do you draw inspo from? How engaged are you with other crafters? Tell us about any special friendships you’ve made through crafting.
I have always liked creating flyers and photo montages, so sometimes I think it is very unfair, that other people are not very related to the knowledge that I already have, but I think that all those mothers and others are doing a great job, they are also struggling For a dream, I will give 5 or 1000 stars for them if necessary. When you live what you do, the smallest detail inspires you. I am happy that in less than 10 months we will be here writing all this. It makes me proud that great creators are following me, and that many write to me that they admire my work. I don't think we have arrived at the destination, but we are on our way.
Why is crafting your jam? What's the best thing about crafting?
The best thing is that you can imagine anything and turn it into matter, into something unique, just like taking a photo and in 10 minutes you have an article with it.
What’s next on the horizon for your crafting journey?
My future; I would like to have my own brand of products, or retail materials store. but we started with sublimation, and today we have an Xtool.
What have you learned through your crafting journey that you think would be valuable for aspiring or new crafters?
Add value and security to what you do and don't hesitate to set your price.
If the MakerFlo Crafts Fairy could grant you one wish to improve your crafting experience (or that of others) what would it be?
All expenses paid trip out to a MakerFlo Expo to meet other crafters and craft with all sorts of blanks, supplies and equipment like the xTool laser engraver.
