What can you do with the F1070?

Thanks to its capability to print on both garments and DTF film, this printer throws open the doors to more printing possibilities for the hobbyist and small business owner.

The printer contains a single platen that measures 10” by 12” for printing. That’s where you place your garment (up to 1” thick) or DTF film for printing.

What’s the max print area for the F1070? The print area is defined by the platen, aka metal base where you set the garment or DTF film for printing. The platen on this printer is 10” x 12”, so that’s the max print size for this printer.

Flat garments can be printed on directly with the printer, but for uniquely shaped items like hats, you’ll need to print on film and transfer with a heat press instead.

You can also buy accessories, like a smaller platen (7” by 8”) or sleeve platen (4” by 4”) for more versatility.

What can you print on with this printer?

• As a beginner-level model, it’s not going to print at the same high speeds you’d expect from an industrial-level machine. This is better for smaller batches of around 100 to 200 garments per week.
• It won’t print images larger than 10” by 12”

That said, if you’re doing smaller batches and don’t need a large-format printing size, this will go above and beyond what you need in a printer.

What about maintenance?

All DTF and DTG printers require regular maintenance to keep them from clogging or running into issues.

This printer does contain an automated maintenance system which wipes the printhead and cleans internal parts so you don’t have to do it by hand.

But the most important thing is to use your DTF/DTG printer every day or every other day so ink doesn’t dry up and clog the tubes. (This goes for any printer in this category.)
